"A tank containing the fetid fertiliser burst, sending a deluge of porcine waste into the courtyards and streets of Elsa..."

Look at the bright side...their gardens will be bountiful this year. :D

I had a manure event today.

Hauling Aldemere Farms best through the village of Rockport, the trailer blew a tire. Right in front of one of the tonier residences.
A magnificent sight, that steaming juicy heap! What a sweet noseful. I wish I'd had a camera, but a photo wouldn't do justice.
Got some precious looks from the SUV moms too!

This is the time of year to spread stuff on the veggie garden, the ground is frozen. I wouldn't get a vehicle around to it till July, at least, without cutting ruts. The cows are happy to oblige.

In the 1950's a cousin would catch a ride on the local nightmans cart to the early morning train. One day the inevitable happened. The truck was old and rusty, slid into a ditch and the contents of the cans came through the missing back window of the cab.
He smelt for days and had to throw his clothes out.
Never allowed to forget it either! :D

A nightman drives the nightcart ... from the days when homes had outdoor toilets and emptied them into the nightcart. Don't ever follow a nightcart.

Some have indoor toilets now ... we just don't have refrigerators yet, but that will happen when we get electricity in Australia. I still live amongst the cannibals, fear for my life ... and sleep with a gun.

A bit like Republicans and their fear of shadows.

Warren.

A bit like Republicans and their fear of shadows. You are in Oz and don't understand our politics....but Republicans are not necessarily evil and stupid people. The current administration and their supporters certainly are but it's wrong to tar them all.

The current national administration will be gone soon and the nation will have learned a lesson. Sadly at great cost.

You have got to be f'n well joking. Your politics are shoved down our throats every day. We get a better coverage of US politics here in our media (I'm on cable, "we are now crossing live to the White House") than we get of Australian politics in our media. Plus I like US politics I find them to be very interesting because it amazes me how American Republicans believe their own bullshi-t. They create the lie then convince themselves that it is actually how it is, then pat themselves on the back for saving the free world when they have done nothing but create more chaos and bad feelings.

Have you any idea of what the US media saturation is like here in Australia? Do you?

Don't toss me Mate and mind your patronising manners ... and don't overlook that we are, "The United States' Deputies in the Pacific." Quoting Bolton of course.

You are the ignorant one who has no idea of your criminal government's impact, apart from giving them lipservice and being an apologist. To show that you are in good company pcford, even our Prime Minister is an arse licking apologist.

Very appropriate on an 'in-deep-shi-t' thread.

Warren in New Texas.
