Have you built something from Chapelle’s “American Small Sailing Craft”?
Know someone who has?
I’m thinking about writing an article on the “influence” of this book and I’d like to get an idea of just how many one-offs, or production boats, have come from his plans.
For example, I know that someone had Jim Michalak draw up a plywood version of the “Old Garvey Box” and I know that Roger Crawford’s very successful “Melonseed” comes from the Chapelle book. These certainly are not the only ones.
Please email me directly at dadadata@friend.ly.net.
I don’t often check the WB Forum because it is exasperatingly slow on a dialup connection.
