oar ferrule

I want to power my shellback dinghy with a skulling oar (about 8 ft),but I want to have it as a two piece system for easy stowing. Does anybody know where I can get a ferrule set with about 1 1/2" I.D. and about 16 inches long? Preferably bronze tubing or what about Kevlar? Would kayak supplyers carry them that big a dia? I'm on Vancouver Island.

I suspect that there wouldn't be a stress factor that I should concern myself with given the limited demands on it??

Rat...longer VHF antennae have large, corrosion resistant ferrules. My 2-piece 14' whip's ferrule set is almost exactly 1 1/2" in diameter.
