I'll try this again.
Bristol R.I. is having a boat show. It's at the Herroshoff Museum and the town dock and landing at the bottom of church st. Oldport launch will have two boats as shuttle service. The dates are Mem. weekend May 24, 25, and 26. This is not a wood only boat show. There will be all sorts of boats from the over 20 manufacturers in the immediate area. I'll be showing two plywood skiffs. Here's hoping it doesn't snow. J.M.

I tried to make it to the Bristol show in 1999(hopeing to find a buyer for my Bristol 24)We left Block Island at 4 pm hoping to drop anchor off of Newport. As soon as we turned north around sand Pt. the seas turned rough .I should have turned back but the stuborn frenchman in me said we'll make it.The mast pulled the chain plate off the bulk head and we floundered for several more hours. When the mast finally fell it wrapped itself around a fishing trap.Safe sea wasn't responding. The C.G. finally came to save the day.
I don't have a boat in the water this year but I may be able to comandeer one.So if I don't show this time have a good time Dan L.

Can you tell us what to look for (name of boats, description) and where we might find you at the show?

Will you stop with the damn SNOW  , that's all we need is a "snowy" boat show. This is New England, snow today, 65 degrees tommarrow, rain the next, isn't anyone used to this weather yet.
Next thing you know you'll be complaining about how darn HOT it is. Sorry for venting :D .

Good food, good weather, and boats. Does it get any better? This is one of the boats that I will have at the B.B.S. The 12 footer is not painted yet. Ck. >www.chogboats.com< J.M.

Hi Jim. Thats the old Hix Bridge, the construction is suppose to start this spring.. The reconstruction of the bridge down river (Rte 88) will be finished this summer. Thats been a three year deal. I think that I can see some herring going under the boat, heading upriver! J.M.
