Has anyone read this book? The author has set up an interesting website, complete with lines and pictures of half-models of boats (not as well executed) that figure in his story. There are pictures of the Blue Hill area, and even a 'reading guide'.

Yes, I read it a year or so ago. Nice story, and it's always fun to read novels about places you know. And, I'll be sailing up there in another week, Might be time to read it again.

I started reading it this evening and there are some pretty jarring boat-related mistakes in the first seventy pages (i.e., he calls a 'davit' a 'divot' at one point), but the story of the relationship between the grandfather and grandson is appealing.

For any of you who have been to Woodenboat or the WB School, I recommend this as a good book to read to bring back images and sensations of the Brooksville to Blue Hill area on land and sea.
