Ok all - over a week has gone by since we got back and I find myself dangerously close to getting so busy with other things that I'll never go back and sort through the pictures.

If I had my druthers, these would be in a little better order, and I've of done some editing, cropping, etc., but since Dave's about ready to strangle me over the grief I put him through shopping for a camera, learning how to work the dang thing, taking several hundred shots, and then not following through ... here goes:

Bangor Theological Seminary (http://www.sailingwithsarah.com/CM/Bangor/index.html) where we met Jack and Sheba for a picnic.

In case you missed Sheba in the other post:

Brooklin and the Wooden Boat School (http://www.sailingwithsarah.com/CM/Brooklin/index.html) note especially the new WB Store and offices in the first picture - I hope it's not a state secret or anything, but Scot's office is up there behind the windows on the second floor, so basically this is where all our opinions, horse hockey, varnish debates, politics, and general poop goes ;)

The day was terribly overcast, but here's some cloudy boat porn: Eggemoggin Reach Regatta Prestart (http://www.sailingwithsarah.com/CM/Prestart/index.html)

A few shots from the Race (http://www.sailingwithsarah.com/CM/Race/index.html) , which if it makes anyone feel better was seriously lacking in air, but what the heck. We were sailing in Maine in the company of some of the most beautiful boats around. I wouldn't of cared if it snowed!

Last but certainly not least, the beautiful Joyant (http://www.sailingwithsarah.com/CM/Joyant/index.html), who you may remember from a couple of issues ago. There was a lot of beautiful wood out there, but there's just something about this boat. In the light air when she tacked, she didn't just turn, she absolutely pivoted in place. Not exactly what you may want in a race, but no one was going anywhere fast and watching Joyant tack was like watching boat ballet :D

Note: There's a thumbnail missing from one of the pages, but the rest should keep you busy for a bit.

Cheers!

It was and always will be a port of call in any trip to the states I ever make {if I get to make it of course  } to head up to Woodenboat offices and finally meet the fellas and sheilas that run and organamanize this thing and the magazine spend a day in the school {maybe 2 or 3} and particularily to have a person to person yarn with the legendary young fella Scot  thats one beautiful place to work.

There are many places to visit in the states but that Woodenboat offices would be a definant top of list one!

Thanks for the tour... but where were the people?? I mean no Jack no Scot no Margo no Dave what gives me dear?

I took a class at WoodenBoat School the week following the regatta. During most of the week you couldn't even see the islands because of the fog. It was nice where I left a large chunk of my money (the store) or at least what was left after visits to LL Bean and Liberty Tool!

Very nice photos. Thank you for posting. I attended Woodenboat school several years ago. Loved it! Sailed on woodenboats moored in harbor every chance I got. Brought back sweet memories to see your shots....

Great look on the albums, Margo...crisp and responsive. I'll bet the missing thumb is a stinkpotter, right? ;)
