I built these two canoes to Tom Hill's "Charlotte" plans about a year apart, in 2000 & 2001. Nessmuk, the ivory one was first, named after George Washington Sears, who paddled the "Sairy Gamp" all around the Adirondacks in the late 19th century. I used lumberyard white fir for the trim.
The second one was for my wife, who christened her "Crocus" since these were in bloom when we launched her. Crocus is trimmed out in mahogany, and it is the one I prefer when I go alone. I had her out on the Susquehana River last night. Nice boats man. Really nice boats.

Which leads me to ask....

How have you had the time to keep the lawn mowed so nice and the bushes trimmed? Tell us about that awesome looking house of yours as well. Is that a slate roof over those bricks? Wonderful stuff there.
