Hey all. I have two boats new today. These are 1937 Adams Interclubs. They are together at one site and with one owner. Should have pix and more info up very soon. Some of you might have seen Adamant at the Wooden Boat Show---restored so very well and so very fast. Well these two are the same one design class. Please keep an eye on the WBRF site to catch them when they are posted, but until then look at the Resoratioin Log of Adamant. Interclub (http://www.woodenboatrescue.org/Adams_Interclub_restoration_log.htm)

cheers and e-mail me at bioelf@mindspring.com if interested.

oh man! i just finally went to adamant's site and looked at the pics..... well, i should say i just got done wiping all the druell off the floor!!. i have freind in milwaukee, wis, that came up for a visit last weekend and the conversation of the day was about his experiences on a freinds 34 ft. (sylvan ?), he wasn't sure that was what it was), but he, by his own admission, is hooked,...." i'm gut hooked for life, ron, i have to get me a sailboat" was his exact words. i just sent him the address of adamant's resto pic site, with a note that said only.."druell on this!.. if you want one, there's going to be two available for the expense of going and getting one"... and included wbrf's address.... the bait has been cast!!!

Crazy---another one just came up and it has a death date of the 25---it seems to be in the best shape of all three. See thread "3 Sound Interclubs."

Also whoever takes on of the first boats, must take the other---two or nothing it seems unless yoiu can work out parting the poor one and take what you need and cut it up :-(

cheers

I spent yesterday driving to see these boats. the boat in Dedham Mass. is a Sound Interclub. She's in rough shape but I think she is restorable and is a boat worthy of the time and effort needed to bring her back.
The two boats in Ct. are not the same class of boat and are very similar to John Alden's Triangle class boats. One of these boats is beyond repair and has little of usable material left of it. The other is in very restoreable condition if you can remove the skin covering
that was epoxied onto the planking. I don't know anything about the designer or about the class but she has a large cockpit and looks like it would be fast. Again a worthy project.

Thanks Don---you taking any?

I will get with the owner of the pair of ? interclubs to see if he knows more.

I agree that whoever takes the "good" boat needs to take the Parts boat as that one has the better rudder and the mast and standing rigging. The glass on the good one looks as if it will not be too big of a deal. The good one does need to be partially re-framed (reads all if you are in there---not too much more work).

Cheers all.

Thanks Don for coming by and looking at her (the Dedham one). And thanks Bruce for all of your help with this.

I hope someone will take on the project.

I managed to push the date to the 27th but that is as far as I could push it.

Thanks.

Don sent me more pictures of Bandit. I hope to have them on the WBRF site soon.

We could take Bandit here if someone will pay to have her moved. This would save her for the time being---we do not have any more money to move boats anymore.

Cheers, Bruce Elfstrom

Hi, these boats are called INTERCLUB SLOOPS.

I'm Don and I am adopting these boats for better or worse, richer or poorer, till death does me in. Wish me luck and watch for postings in progress logs on the wooden boat rescue foundation's website.

Hi, well I got these boats. One I had to scrap and have disposed of. I'm having the other moved on tuesday.
I went to Mystic Seaport and researched the class and found out what I've got. It's a 1928 Vinyard Sound Interclub designed by Charles D Mower.
The class was built for and sailed out of Edgartown Yacht club on Marthas Vinyard Mass.

Is there anyone who knows about this class or that knows if there are any more still out there.

Thanks
