Distributed by MGM, the major motion picture Madison releases in select cities nationwide April 22, 2005. Starring Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, The Count of Monte Cristo), the film is a father-son action/drama based on the inspiring true story of the tiny, dying river town of Madison, Indiana, and its legendary 1971 race for the Gold Cup of hydroplane boat racing.
Along with the excitement of 180-mph hydroplane boat racing, the picture captures the heart and soul of Middle America. Following the plight of a small town struggling to support its population, a young father struggles to support his family and his personal dreams.

I'm fortunate to call Larry Lauterbach a friend of mine. He's got the most charmed life of anyone I know, and he's still the most decent man I've met in years.

Talk about a life... I tried for weeks to get a job with him, but it didn't pan out. 's ok, I still get to ogle the boats, and watch the races.

Neat stuff, and the technology and lack thereof is startling
