Finally figured out how to share a picture of our GIOIA MIA-by posting it to the Wooden Boat photo montage, at http://media18.hypernet.com/mywb/scripts/show.asp?state=detail&boatid=1689
As you'll see, she's running fine now, enjoying a fresh coat of paint and a sunny day on SF Bay.
Thanks to each of you for your past words of encouragement--and thanks in advance for your next gems of good advice. :D

Great shot. Lines remind me of lifeboat/pilot cutter types, is she designed to be self-righting? - not that you'd want to have to find out!

Don't know whether she's self-righting, but you're right--her lines are lifeboat-like. If she were bottoms-up, God, I'd sure hope so, but wouldn't that be a function of whether her engine stayed bolted on and how many tons of cement she's actually got in her bilges? (I have no idea how to calculate its weight, but it's more than a little.)
Because the scuppers are only about 1 1/2 feet above the water there's always water rolling off the deck in some direction, but she's very comfortable in confused seas and doesn't catch much wind--a very good thing in our SF Bay and environs. ;)
Great looking boat! Would love to see more pics of her.

Thanks so much, Donn.
Haven't figured out how to post pictures to this site, but I sent a couple to you as email attachments.
Hope they don't sink your server!

David..posting pictures to the forum is simple:
http://www.imagestation.com
Go there, open an account (free)
Decide whether you want to bring the pics into an album, or just into your storage bin.
Follow ImageStation's instructions for uploading the pics.
After the pics are uploaded, click on one of the thumbnails to pop-up the full sized pic.
Right click on the full sized pic, and select "properties"
In the middle of the properties box is the pic's URL.
MAKE SURE THE URL DOESN'T END WITH ".orig.jpg"
If it does, don't highlight that part.
Highlight the URL with your mouse (left key-drag)
On your keyboard, hit CTRL-C
Start a post on the WB forum.
Under the text entry screen, are 2 columns of buttons.
Click the "Image" button.
A little image box comes up with http:// already highlighted.
DON'T SELECT THE IMAGE BOX WITH YOUR CURSOR, OR YOU'LL END UP WITH 2 HTTP://'s
On your keyboard, hit CTRL-V..then press enter.
Preview the pic with the "Preview" button.
Post it!
