I would like to know if I have lost my mind? Does anyone else have a tarred hemp knotted lanyard hanging in their vehicle for an air freshener?

Sigh. now I need a new vehicle.
NO. Just pine tar soaked rags kicking around. nothing like pine tar, linseed oil and turpentine to get rid of all the modern stench around us.

We used to tar a block of wood in the last ski shop I worked in. Shades of a bygone era in ski technology, but I guess now they would call it aroma therapy. Sure beats the smell of burning wax and melted polyethylene.

I dip it in fresh pine tar...

I throw a block of pine tar soaked wood under the seat of my car. Puts a little smile on my face when I get in and instantly adjusts my attitude to better cope with the frantic drivers around me. I swear it makes me a better driver.

I use a lot of tarred marline and Stockholm tar, so....I store the new coils in a wooden box at shoulder level in the head...Always smells great in there!

My vehicle is a Volvo. Only Stockholm tar would do?

Packers Pine Tar Soap, been showering with it for donkey's years.
Little ball of marline dipped in Stockholm Tar and set in a copper thimble in the trucks ashtray.

Years ago I used to keep a couple of smoked whiting on the dashboard of my truck (made for a good snack too), but today I think i like your idea better. :D

That is great! No, I don't have that, but I do keep a small piece of freshly cut cedar under the seat of my old pickup truck. My brother-in-law has a mill, and he keeps shavings for me.

Had a friend putting in a cedar lined closet. When he went up stairs he daughter asked him why he smelled like a Gerbil. :D
