Love the hat! What kind of a boat is it? (CRS)
--------------------
Donn Donn, you of all people are the last one that I would describe as CRS!

Truth be told, there is nothing to remember. As built, this boat has never been seen before. Here's the description:

The plans that I ordered were for a 13 foot long double ender called Tor, drawn up by Charles Strayer. It was a simple open sailboat with a standard jib and main sloop rig.

However, I redrew the plans, expanding the length to 16 feet and the beam to 6 feet. Bulkheads were placed at every other station and floors were built in between them. The original plan boasted a very springy shear. This was flattened a bit as I feared that what looked good at 13 feet, would be comical at 16. The small cabin with hinged top was added for dry storage and the cockpit was been made use of the additional room to seat four extremely comfortably (a good 3 feet per butt.) Lastly the rig is in the process of being changed from a sloop to an unstayed cat-ketch in order to ease rigging and lower the center of effort.

So my question is...What is the best short answer to Donn's question?

In regards to the hat...The love and frustration begins today. We're 14 point favorites over the Broncos of Western Michigan.

What about "Shipping News" with Kevin Spacy. Lots of wooden boats there! It was filmed in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. The main character played by Kevin almost came to his end in a little wooden skiff, when it swamped and went under. Also, the owner of the newspaper spent most of his time fishing off his wooden dory and there was a wooden sailboat that was supposed to have been Hitler's barge.

Chuck...did you mean to put that post in the "Wooden Boats related movies" thread? (http://media5.hypernet.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=6;t=000667)

Spartans 26, Broncos 21. It's a winOh blast! Does that mean pituitary season is upon us once again?

This tenament will be no place fit to live for the next, what 4 months? The halls will echo with screams of ecstasy or groans of disappointment till it is finally over for another year.

Can you tell that I am NO feetball fan?

I'd love to complain that they didn't cover, but after last season's debacles, a win's a win, baby!

Smoker didn't look too bad at QB, either. How did the Buckeyes do? Personally, I think that they'll be better off without Clarette. He might be a helluva running back, but I think that he's bad for the team. (Best be careful or else we'll be banished to the Bilge.)

Bucks 14-0, nearing halftime.

O&O West...when I called on bookstores in college towns, I had to be able to talk local football.

From the Orange Men to Minnesota, and Kentucky to East Lansing...they were all in my territory.
