Not any where near as impressive as MMD.
It's kind of a cheat because she hasn't sailed for 5 years now, but I do motor out for a putt once in a while.

John B, yes no rig and lots of work still to be done before she gets one again. Making slow and steady progress. Glad I enjoy working on her! smile.gif

Nice shots you guys. There sure are some sweet boats on this forum.

If the picture you want to post is already on a website, simply right-click on it.

Select properties.

Highlight the URL with your mouse (left key-drag)

On your keyboard, hit CTRL-C

Start a post on the WB forum.

Under the text entry screen, are 2 columns of buttons.

Click the "Image" button.

A little image box comes up with http:// already highlighted.

DON'T SELECT THE IMAGE BOX WITH YOUR CURSOR, OR YOU'LL END UP WITH 2 HTTP://'s

On your keyboard, hit CTRL-V..then press enter.

Preview the pic with the "Preview" button.

Post it!

Remember that some websites, like geocities, will not serve images.

If the picture is on your PC, but not on the web, go to one of the hosting sites. Many forumites use http://www.imagestation.com

Go there, open an account (free)

Decide whether you want to bring the pics into an album, or just into your storage bin.

Follow ImageStation's instructions for uploading the pics.

After the pics are uploaded, click on one of the thumbnails to pop-up the full sized pic.

Right click on the full sized pic, and select "properties"

In the middle of the properties box is the pic's URL.

MAKE SURE THE URL DOESN'T END WITH ".orig.jpg"
If it does, don't highlight that part.

Highlight the URL with your mouse (left key-drag)

John B, we call it a "baby dragon". A group of breast-cancer survivors from a near-by town had been active in raising money for cancer research by participating in dragon boat races set up as fund-raising events. They wanted a practice boat, but didn't have enough members to regularly fill out a full-size dragon boat, so wanted a 10- paddle boat. I worked with them and local boatbuilder Scott Dagley (Dagley's Boat Services in Petite Riviere) to come up with a tack-and-tape okume ply thirty-footer. A regular dragon boat is forty feet long (sans head & tail) and has twenty paddlers. The "treadplate" is a stylized skin of dragon scales laid on with a template.

We have just delivered a full-size dragon boat - painted bright pink - to another group of fund-raising ladies. Go, girls!

Wow, you're that Mark Van! I've admired your designs for sometime. I'm particularly fascinated by the 39 footer. What a wonderful river boat that looks to be. I hope I get to see one someday. What kind of weather or seas have you had her in? I realize she's not designed to be a blue water boat, but have you explored those limits?

Would it be breaking the rules if we threatened to take you downt to the bilge, break your arm off and beat you unmercyfully about the head and shoulders with it if you don't provide details on line. Self promotion is not answering unpromted questions surely.

Ayup, Norm's right, Michael.

Answering such questions is simple courtesy, and not a bit of self-promotion.

Now, I wish to see more also, and you surely don't wish to sully the Canadian reputation for mannerly and gentile conduct on this site, do you??? :D :D :D
