And you took a picture of me! I recognised the setup for the Bronze Casting class in the second picture and then when I enlarged it, there I was all the way in the background. Can't mistake that hat.

Sailman, which guy with the hat are you? The one going into the shop or the other one?

You guys were pretty engrossed in what you were doing so I didn't want to interrupt. Too bad, I guess. I wondered who else might be there.

So how long does it take that motorized hack saw to cut through an ingot of bronze anyway?

Whose dog? Seemed to be a nice one. I threw the stick once.

What is that sweet little gaff sloop in the second to the bottom pic!?! smile.gif

Of course, this must be the School for Wooden Boats or Rockport or the like up there in Maine. Looking closer, the sign that says "Woodenboat School" over the door in the topmost pic is a dead give away! smile.gif

I didn't get to talk to anyone about that little sloop but a guess would be a Haven 12 1/2. And, Meerkat, you did finally get the answer right. ;)

Here's a closer shot of the sign. Unfortunately, you have to put up with me in the picture, too.

Dave,

I am the one all the way in the back. The dog belongs to the instructor of the repair class in the center bay. He spent the week trying to get somebody to throw his frisbee or his latest stick.

aka Mecca ;)

It's a pilgrimage that must be made. :D

And if you're bold enough (or just figure you've come all that way and well...no guts/no glory) you go into the Wooden Boat Store and ask for Scot ;)

What a dummy! I didn't even think to ask for Scot. Everyone seemed to be occupied and I didn't want to intrude. Except for the dog, I was ignored at the school. Everyone else was engrossed in what they were doing. Well, the dog was engrossed, too but for a short time, I fit into his agenda. :D

As I recall there are a few Havens and even a Herreshoff 12 1/2. Heaven on earth!

Hey look there's Aretha and Rachel at the dock!! I don't remember which of the Havens that is in the other picture, but I think they have 3 gaff rigged Havens, (1 red, 1 white and 1 blue!!) and a white Herreshoff which is marconi rigged.
