Where was this boat built?looks like a Falmouth Pilot 6 Tonner designed by Warington Smyth to me.

I agree with Jeremy; I also think she's been mis-described and is a Warrington-Smyth, not a Giles, design. The 6 ton Falmouth Pilot, which is exactly what she looks like, is a perfectly nice boat, incidentally, and much more comfortable, being less inclined to sail on her ear.

I tkink if you look at the photo of the transom and compare it with that of a Vertue it will tell its own story.

Sorry I should have added this.Have a look at page 224 plate 38 in Eric Hiscocks Cruising under sail [ Second Ed.]That looks like it to me,note also the straight cabin sides,similar paint job.

Just to be clear, I'm not a Ford owner who is trying to convince myself and others that I've actually got a Ferrari just because my Ford's also painted red.
I 'll be 'OK' if it turns out I have a '26'.
How do the transoms differ? What is the overall lenght of the '26'?
