Was looking thru some pics and found this. It's a Bill Garden boat my boss and I built in 1985 and launched Jan 16 1986 http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid36/pc8d73e4635d7bab791b71587933fc9b4/fd1eb3b7.jpg

It really is a neat boat. The original owners took her to Alaska before he sadly very suddenly died. It since was sold by his wife and is a whale watching tour boat out of Friday Hbr.
The planking was 7/16 dbl diag. doug. fir entirely epoxy coated including Awl Grip epoxy paint on fir frames powered with a 108 hp John Deere lugger.

WFK, that musta' been fun planking up the hollow near the stem. Did MR. GARDEN show diagonals on in the Offsets?

Dave; Mr Garden called it a constant camber hull, which eased the lofting process and really shows up well in the bottom picture. And actually the toughest part of the planking, wasn't the planking at all, but the Ironbark billboard up fwd. It all seems like yesterday but It 17 years ago and I was 25,... hardly seems possible. In the top pic on the right hand side you can see that bandsaw that I showed you in earlier post's and on the left side is his old 12" parks planer that I ran all the planking stock through and later bought and still use today.
