Looks like it's been a while since her last bottom maintenance - maybe the pilot was just trying to scrape her belly a bit on the ledge. ;)

What's the tidal range there? If memory serves, it's normally some 30 feet at Digby and can be as much as 50 feet sometimes. Amazing.

Wonderful scallops there too!!

John, that ferry runs a route very near the USA/Canada border at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy, where tides are a paltry 12-15 feet. At the top end of the bay around Parrsboro and Truro tides are regularly 45 feet, and occasionally 8 to 10 feet more.
