My wife and I came home from Delaware yesterday afternoon with that fresh cool breeze; stopped in Kent Island for a pit stop; the grass shaking dryly and the deep smell of saltwater marshes -- and to utter oaths at rows and rows of boats rocking in their slips.

Crossed the bridge in slow traffic; the water chopped into white horses rampant on a field of sapphire, with that sun glittering south to the ocean and beyond.

I nearly drove off the bridge, trying to watch a gaff schooner reach south near Gibson's Island.

Man, what a day. I hope some of you were out in it.

Hey, I'll bet that was about 2:30pm right?
I remember seeing it come in about the same time we were!

I was out on one of the boats in my partnership; 30' Catalina (I know, fibergl@$$) It was REALLY honking around 10am; mid 20'sGusts higher. 4'waves. As the day went on it got nicer and nicer. My buddy and I ventured a little further out of the Severn each time as the wind dropped. Absolutely gorgeous day for those not afraid to go out when you have to reef!

J22's East Coast Championships were going on just south of Whitehall Bay. Pretty cool to watch.
