Somewhere in your photo software, you should have something like edit - image size - you want to resize to somewhere between 550 and 800 pixals. Then resave and reupload.
Or, if you're not sure, I can snag it and resize it for you.

Leon,
I have at least 100 pictures of that boat. Your picture makes all of mine look bad. I hope you enjoyed Bayfield.

Leon - If you want a smaller image in your post, I saved a 750 pixel verson at http://www.sailingwithsarah.com/Pic/WBF/Bayfield.jpg (just put that between your image brackets instead of your villagepictures link).
If you're going to be working with photos on the computer you'll need some kind of editing program. A quick Google turned up www.photoelf.com (http://www.photoelf.com) (which has a demo you can download and is $24.95 to purchase). Or you may want to get one of the more common photo programs like Adobe Photoshop.
Cheers!

Irfanview is a powerful image management program the is absolutly free. I've moved on to PaintShop Pro 8, which is way over my head, but hey, I got a deal. Anyway, I just looked at their web site ( www.irfanview.com (http://www.irfanview.com) ) and see it has been much improved since the version I have. Lots of programs have free trial offers but Irfanview is FREEWARE!
IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non-commercial use) graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP.
It is trying to be simple for beginners and powerful for professionals.
IrfanView was the first Windows graphic viewer WORLDWIDE with Multiple (animated) GIF support.
One of the first graphic viewers WORLDWIDE with Multipage TIFF support.
The first graphic viewer WORLDWIDE with Multiple ICO support.
I don't know how they do it for free but this may be all the photo management tool you'll ever need.
