That's an old projection, Dave. It's a cat-3 storm now, and the projected track is much further west.

Waiting for the 8 p.m. update now. :(
It's not looking good for our northern friends.
FWIW if anyone needs help, and there's something I can do helping move a project, moving a boat (where to I don't know), but anything. I have no problem getting on a plane tomorrow. Seriously.
I still tremble at the thought, but it looks like we're OK and I got nuttin but time.

Here's a useful place to get updates, Isabel and otherwise:

Margo...you're a verified sweetie. I wish I needed your help, just for the excuse to meet you and get a hug (no sweat Dave :D ).
In Margo's spirit...when it comes down to it, I'm ready with a heavy duty van, lots of rope, and I'm within striking distance of all of Long Island, NYC, CT, RI and NJ.
Just holler.

Gee, and Sault Ste Marie on Friday night. Who would have thunk?

Don't you just love the weatherman's predictions, all this technology and it's still a "Guesstamation" (technical term for "spitting into the wind).
I'm heading down tomarrow to Noank,CT. To storm-proof my father's 32' Ericson plastic boat. With the possibility of 5'-7' rollers entering the harbor friday, and winds still gusting.I think it would be best to play it safe, & remove the sails, dodger, and add the safety harness around the boat, lashed off to the bridles. I just hope some of our mooring neighbors do the same. Hurricane BOB, years ago caused some boats to break free of there moorings & end up on shore.
Good Luck to all you down there on the southern shore (SC,NC,VA,MD,NJ,&NY) hope she dies down to a tropical depression again.
