My sons and I built this Issaquah 17 in July and August to plans from JEM Watercraft . It is 4mm BS1088 Okoume with a layer of 6-ounce fiberglass inside and outside, with cherry and maple decks, ash seats, ash inwale and outwales with Oregon myrtle spacer blocks.
We'll paint it next spring -- we decided to paddle rather than paint in late August and September:

Yes, the son in front is using a paddle that is too long for him.
