View Full Version : Fall Pictures from today
I've been away in NYC for the last week working so I took the day off today and drove around. The Hinckley will be getting pulled and repaired in about a week. Fall is here. The wind has been about 25 knots steady-35 gusting. The leaves are falling off the trees, and with any luck the snow will soon be here...

Now THAT'S what I was wanting to see when I asked for pictures down in the bilge! Do you think there's room up there for 2 more people? (a somewhat serious question)
Incredible!

Noah, nice pics.
Is that your Hinckley getting pummeled by the waves? That's some mean conditions - is it normal? She looks good regardless.
What kind of boats are those rowboats? I like.
Down here, only a little bit of color change so far (very little at home, but a bit more northwest of here at little brother's school).

Thanks, Noah.
I shared your pictures with friends who will be in the neighborhood this weekend.
Thanks to all for the nice words.
Here are a few more pics, though the aren't all from yesterday. Probably taken over the last 2 weeks or so.

Nice sailing shot.Funny seeing a NZ winch like that on the other side of the world.I bought one of those last week Noah. Brand spanking new. never used. Some chandery closure out of town. The Tool man at our local market says " hey, you're the boat guy eh?... look at this winch we bought....." say no more.
Scary. The people at the power tool shop say " hi John" when I go in too.

Black Rose is 'Sunder Class'. Saturated colour against a neutral background with contrasting complimentary colour . I just had a visual orgasm.

Wassa; "Sunder Class"?
By the way, are you going to answer that email?

Noah, are you going to let these guys think there are fjords in Lake Champlain, or are you going to tell them that the cliffs are on Lake Willoughby?

Sunder Class? ... the state of the art, and a term associated with World Class Artists.
Warren.
ps, Meer, I was doing my research, on '16ft and under'. Wonderful progress photos of the TS, thankyou. I answer all of my emails, but the kids get priorety with the comp. I'm not as fast as you Speedy. The dinghy took my time today, I'm just about to go and pull the tapes off, the repairs, it's midnight, and the weather is like a late summer. Cheers Meerkat.

Ahhh I was caught...Though I don't think I specified lake Champlain... you are right about Lake Willoughby though. I took a hike over there as well...it's quite a place!
John, Those winches are great! I have a 145% genoa with a 46ft hoist, and I had no problem sheeting it in. The self tailing feature works well, and I wish I could find more like that.
When I get back next week I will post more sailing pictures.

Do You Need Crew?
Jealous, Sea Fever is having to be hauled for a year. I sail, I cook, just snore a little, according tomy Captain.

Nice photos Noah, Thanks. I skipped everything else here on the forum tonight except the promise of some pictures!!! It's too hard keeping up with the exchanges here of late and at the end of the day after working hard...a little peace and happiness is good. Thanks again.
Bernadette.
