Am considering buying this boat.
Owner tells me it is a 19ft 1959 Rhodes "O" Class Daysailer with 2 sets of sails and a spinnaker. I know it has been sitting on a trailer for 5 years and the last time it was licensed for sailing was in 1989. Owner says he has never had it in the water and that he got it in a trade for a motorcycle. I am wanting to know something of what it would be worth. The hull is fiberglass and appears in good condition. There is some rust on the outside of the keel, but it looks like it can be cleaned off and is just from being out in the air and moisture. The owner has had a canvas cover and a nylon tarp over the open cockpit. The trailer does need to have the wheel berings repacked before moving, but is also in good condition. PLEASE HEEELLLPPP!!

Is this perhaps a Rhodes 19 built by O'day? Sounds like it is the keel version.

Does it look like this?

If it's a Rhodes 19, here is one for sale. It was used in "Message In A Bottle".

If this is the wrong boat, sorry.

When I was a member of Sandy Bay YC in Rockport, Massachusetts, they had an active racing fleet of Rhodes 19's, like shown in the picture. I have sailed one a few times. They handle well, are roomy daysailer for a family, and are reasonably fast.

There is a CB version of the same boat. I have no experiance with it but I would guess that it would be a bit less stable than the fin keel version.
