Anyone have an opinion or image(s) of wood clamps?
I am thinking of making some cheap ones for my planned work.

Couple of good wood screw clamps + photos of clamps using wood screws in the "tricks of the trade" thread. Put that in a search using the search button up top right.

Ralph, I've been watching your posts and getting concerned for about you timing. Are the clamps something you can make where you are? As I recall you expect to be able to work on the actual boat for a month and your expected start date is only 6 wks away. :( Getting together supplies, tools etc. ahead of time is definitely in your favor, I think you should have everything shipped directly to the boat ahead of time or scheduled as you expect to need it. A month is not much time for actual work, I don't think you really want to waste precious time picking up stuff for it on the trip to the boat.

Thanks Dave I've saved that site .I think I'll try a slot for the aluminum bar rather than a mortice .Maybe glue part of the offcut back in for strength .
