Okay Ive not bought a kit anything for many many moons... but after I saw Martins post on kits being available for Vivalda from a fella in NZ I thought beauty!! and sent an email... and heres the response...

Part no 1140 is Valdivia 1:20 scale Schooner and is priced at $1,113.24 Nz
dollars (1860) era
Part no 1130 is Atlantis 1:20 scale 2 Masted schooner ans is $775.33 NZ
Dollars (1935) era
Both are very different models
The Valdivia is a larger kit.

Now Ive left out the company name {visit the site here} (http://www.robbe.co.nz/ships.htm) and the guy who emailed me simply because Im not sure that these prices hes quoted arent on a par with others available and didnt want to give him bad publicity if hes about right... could be that the prices he quotes are right on the money and if so dont want to be seen to be rubbishin him and his costs... but that seems high to me $1113NZD or $1033AUD for a kit?? ...what am I missing? :eek: {hull is in GRP at 1:20 scale does that make some sort of difference?}
Anyway this is more a queery than anything else... so is this about right for whats being offered?
