Everyone wish DaveR luck. He's going to be launching his Stephenson Weekender this weekend.
He's been quietly working away and the fruit of his labors are about to pay off.

I was going to bring it up, but I figured Dave would. I’ll be there with my camera and do my best to record the goings on.

Dave said
“I'm planning to launch my Weekender on Saturday at Lake Nokomis near the Minneapolis airport. We're making a picnic of it and I expect there will be plenty of food. The plan is to gather about 10:00 and I think we'll probably launch our boat around 11:00 or so.”

I won’t be able to spend the day, but I’ll be there long enough to make sure it floats. :D LOL!!! Maybe my chance to say hi to some of the other forumites. :cool:

Thanks guys for blowing my horn for me. I wasn't going to post anything before I knew that Julie K isn't really a gaff rigged submarine. smile.gif

Gary, I look forward to seeing you there tomorrow. Chadd, I wish you could be there. Any other local forumites are welcome to join the party. It would be great to meet the locals.
