A full week of nasty weather keeps me from jogging the slushy streets or even hiking the nearby trails, so I do second best; load up ‘boat Related’ videos on the screen and put some rubber on the treadmill road or the rowing machine.
I’ve gone through all my re-runs, old ‘Classic Boat’ copies, canoeing videos of Bill Mason, Becky Mason and many ‘how to ---‘ videos, how to varnish, how to make a paddle, sew a sail etc.
Then the Lady comes back from the library with a tape of ‘Horatio Hornblower,’ The Duel. I might have read C.S. Foresters’ books before this but for thinking that these in the same genre as ‘Theodore Tugboat.’
So I’m saying ‘yoikes’ again because once it started I had to run the full 100 minutes to the end, and cranked up tread-speed to a fast jog. I cramped myself up for the rest of the day.
First thing I did was call the library and put on hold anything else available of C.S.F. that’s ‘boat related.’ It will help me to get through to spring thaw.

Are there any other videos of this subject matter that is worth searching for?
