Picked up a copy of the December "Robb Report". In describing a 1931 Dodge mahogany runabout, the "reporter" wrote...
"The 21-footer, which bears hull No. 104, was restored in 1994 by Philip Ballantyne, a professional restorer and chairman of the annual Concours d'Elegance in Lake Thaoe, Calif.
Ballantyne replaced the planking on Elgin's bottom, top, and deck, as well as the boat's framing. The boat's interior features new furnishings, including dyed and embossed leather seats and ceilings...."
After you replace the planking and frames, what's left of the old boat? By the way, this boat is for sale in the magazine for $145k.
