Following in Frank Dye's footsteps,er wake?I hope
his hull is ice hardened if he is in the water now.Sounds like an adventure though.

Kate and I were gazing in awe at Frank and Margaret Dye's Wayfarer in the Falmouth Maritime Museum on Saturday. They have this boat in the main exhibition hall and you can walk all around it, lean on the gunwhale and just imagine taking it to Iceland (or not, if you are wimps like us). One thing I did notice was a really serious bilge pump mounted midships.

sometimes if you don't caulk those old seams it's a good idea. we have two woodies and we love them. great boats.
