Hudson's Bay, that is.

From Winnepeg to York Factory with a 40' York boat. One of those "survival" expeditions, recreating the early fur trader's voyages throught the Canadian rivers, lakes, and forests. Sadly, we missed the first three episodes, and "Bob" the boat is now in deep trouble. Well, shallow trouble in an 8 knot current.

The hour we saw was interesting (although not very detailed.)

Ah yes, I heard about this. I hope they run the series again.

Some of my ancestors were 'Baymen' so I have an interest in the HBC history, particularly the route from York Factory/Norway House/ Fort Edmonton. The link leads to some interesting reading on the subject. The HBC Archives in Winnipeg have documents on every employee, transaction and trip made since 1670.
