Got my strongback built last weekend. Took forever to square it up. Realized that the 2x4 cross members I had cut from Lowes stock were just twisted enough to prevent a fair backbone. Replaced them with 3/4" ply pieces and it came together nicely. Assembled all my frames, including transom, stem, and knee.

I put up a temporary sheer clamp to check the curve.

Dry-assembled the transom, knee, and keel.

Next weekend I hope to start on the chines, sheer, and bottom battens.

Nice.
I'm doing the Lowes lumber routine myself.

I'm not using Lowes lumber for anything but the strongback. And even that was too crooked to use.
