Real story:

A prospective client came to meet with me. We discussed what he wanted in a yacht. We agreed to enter into a formal design agreement. As we were wrapping up the meeting, he leaned across the table, fixed me with a rivetting gaze, and said the favourite sentence of my whole career:

"I must impress upon you that, for this project, quality is much more important than cost!"

I hope that one day I may have another client as wonderful as he.

"Good morning, Matt." (though it's nice to hear from neighbors or coworkers, this one works best when it's Jenny's sleepy little voice)

Although, "yes, Matt, we can get a(nother) boat" is always nice.

Shut off the engine.

Ease up a little - I can make our course close reaching.

"You've got a magazine" (in the mail; Fine Woodworking, Fine Homebuilding, Furniture and Cabinetmaking, Wooden Boat et al) followed only by the welcome bellow of "you've got a parcel to pick up at the post office." :D

Thank you, Lisa! The "magic words" smile.gif I've spent the last 20 years saying "What do you say?" to a child who needed reminding.

All my efforts will have paid off and life will be so pleasant when I can get my boys to say them --- to each other !!!
