View Full Version : Threatening Email Mystery Solved

You may remember I received a threatening email a couple of weeks ago.
Basically it said if I didn't remove my posts from the last couple of days someone would come to my home and harm me and more frightenly my wife.
So I removed my posts/threads.
I replyed to the email a few times in an attempt to find out who the person was but the email bounced. I thought the problem was over.
Yesterday on another forum (one that is more fractuos then this one)I have been visiting for a few years I found out a member had been banned. He was a real Nazi/whaco and most members on the forum couldn't stand him. Anyway they finally banned him for life. The banned member knew I was interested in wooden boats and was a member of this forum. He sent a lot of members, on the other forum, the exact threatening email.
So the mystery is solved.

Apparently the mods. on the other forum are looking into the whole thing with the 'authorities'. I'll let them deal with it.
They allow things to get pretty 'out there' on the forum so I don't know what is going to happen at this point.

You have definately proven yourself to be a "posting whaco" Joe. and I'm not alone in wishing you'd go away, considering the number of people on here that you have harrassed on a regular basis.

I think you are mistaken. Joe seems to not be a bad guy at all deep down. There have been times in the past that he has attacked and provoked others. Could be a sign of being off meds (unlikely) or some insecurity working its way out (more likely). Since his career in real estate is going well he is certainly more gentlemanly. How you feel about yourself should not be allowed to impact your behavior toward others but hey, we all take out an occasional frustration on the innocents around us.
His bad behavior seems to be now in the past and Joe is now quite civilized. He is a family guy that actually sails his boat rather than just talking about it. Sure, he is on the forum a lot, perhaps more than any other, but is that a reason to not like someone? Remember, he is chasing Norm for the highest number of posts.
His posts of sailing adventures are well done but not frequent enough for my taste. Besides, he is entertaining - just so long as he stays in his cage. ;)
Just kidding... :D

Just kidding... :D Now if he would learn to stop personally attacking others because he doesn't like them he might be cool. I've found it comes with experience. The more you are exposed to the internet, the more you learn to ignore the negatives. Joe has been a real negative lately. Like some impressionable kid or somethin. Merry Christmas Joe! :D
Ya know what's bad about this.....? It's like you are talkin about someone behind their back but they can hear it. :D

"Remember, he is chasing Norm for the highest number of posts."
It looks like he locked Norm's meter at 9441.
Winner at any cost, eh?
