Hello folks--
Golly it seems as though it has been 100 years since I was last here! Through a combination of happenstance and minor catastrophe (of the computer kind) I've been away from the Forum. Looking forward to catching up on what's going on in the various boards, but I can see already that many of the "ole gang" are still around. Good for you all--it's nice to be back.

No Dutch, but I've got some of YOURS! :D

John, if I recall correctly I had an even lower number way back when before WB changed systems. I've been noodling around here since Spring of '96, I think. Back in the days when Bob Cleek, Bob Miller and I were some of the few who regularly posted and most of the building questions centered on where to get this or that item (usually something easily found via the WB classifieds...which often made us think to ourselves "why don't they try buying the magazine?") or were about varnish. I miss Cleek, but understand why he went into hibernation. I hope he got his Dyarchy. Bob Miller was a wealth of info on all matters relating to traditional boatbuilding in general and to gulf coast boatbuilding in particular. Miss him, too. Good to be back.

[Well, what do you know? Right after posting this I slipped over to "Building/Repair" and there was Bob Cleek!]

I'm the magnificent offspring of Gresham CA and KM Gresham...it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance (sp?).

Hello again, John.

I'm not as venerable as you, Bob Cleek or Bob Miller; I think I started in 1999 when I was in China.

John, my friend, welcome back. We need more of the "old-timers" around here. This forum has changed, and yet in many ways is still the same.
Hope all is well,
Pete

Hi All,
Thanks for the warm welcomes! I'll work up an update soon, but at this very moment SWMBO needs to use the phone line to call her sis. Gotta keep peace in the family, right?? Yeah, man!

Morning,,,,,,
I had a fairly early number once but a strange lack of ability with computers and a bad memory for paswords lost it. :(
,,,,,,but I'm still me. smile.gif

Thanks again for the warm welcome! Good ole WB'ers! So, what have I been up to? Work, mostly. The 9-5 stuff plus way too much outdoor work - clearing brush, building flower beds, mowing. Now SWMBO are living together and that cuts down a bit on my online time. Then too, I've been spending a little time in NYC, Montreal, and Philly. Down in Philly I've been doing some work with this wild big-wall mosaic artist, Isaiah Zagar -- check it out: http://www.isaiahzagar.com/

I'll try to swing by the forum more often now.
