I have to replace a few planks and some steam bent oak stringers on my 55 Duke. I am looking for someone in the GTA/Muskoka area that has experience in doing these repairs, hopefiully not so far from where the boat currently is ( Parry Sound), so I can participate in the repairs.

Any interest, please email me at pkoppisch@cogeco.ca

Thanks Peter

I have seen the work that Woodwind Yachts (near Port Perry)has done. Their work is excellent. Be aware that they have a long waiting list.

I'm currently using a local (Sarnia Area) shipwright to some planking and bulwork repairs. The fellow's name is Mark Banninga (resides in Alvinston).

Photos of his work on my boat can be seen at:

I've seen the work done by the chap employed by Bay Moorings, in Penetang, where mine is docked. I'm afraid I don't know his last name, but I admire his work and would trust him with my own ketch, if I couldn't do it myself.

Pleasant fellow, very competent. Works in the Bay Moorings shop, which is large and clean and dry and well-lit. Industry rates of course.

He owns a wooden Chris Craft as well as a number of other wooden boats. His work is in the water right there at the Marina.

Let me know if you need more info.
