We get our newspaper delivered first on the route. My partner and grand neighbor, the paper boy, lives across the street and a couple of door up. He has a pretty good record on the route and we've told him that if he is short an insert or even a paper he can use ours.
Well, he came in a while ago carrying a paper that looked like it had been dunked in a bucket. Seems he made a wild pitch when he let fly at the front step at a house up the street. The paper landed in a pond.
I was laughing pretty hard as I put our dry paper back togeather, rolled it up and traded for the wet one.
He had a little trouble when he first started the route understanding why he was earning almost as much in tips as for the papers he delivered. But you know what they say about kids these days....
