Canadian security uniforms missing

Just heard a blurb on the tele about 1100 Canadian airport security uniforms found to be missing; 'authorities' (whoever that might be) have cautioned the public not to be alarmed; no explanation, other than that headline. Haven't found anything in the news spots yet...

Yep,you can all rest easy knowing that we're covering your northern back.But if you think we're bad you should see Mexico.When we returned home from Cancun a few years ago the metal detctor went off on someone behind us and the girl working it just turned her head and pretended nothing happened.The whole airport was run like nobody could be bothered.It was in a continuous state of confusion.

After that one 'blurb, I haven't seen anything else mentioned. Anyone have further details?

It was mentioned on one of the CBC Radio morning shows this morning. I was only half-listening, but did hear that it wasn't whole uniforms missing, but bits thereof, such as pins, badges, etc. Transport Canada and RCMP are investigating.

For a few minutes you could bid for a full uniform on Ebay until they took the item down.
