    Wondering About Otis

You know. Otis of Mayberry North Carolina.

He came to me in a dream last night. He was right here in my living room. Otis was dressed in a lime green polyester leisure suit and white patent leather shoes with gold chains.

We spake of times gone by. Of Mayberry, Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney and Opie. Of Earnest T. Bass. Now there was a crazy one. Throwing rocks.

We went out on the town, Chasing the young lasses. Taking comfort in knowing that Andy would have us a warm cell waiting when we had had enough.

Ah....those were the days. I miss Otis.

Oh. I thought you meant a different Otis.

The next day Aunt Bea would bring fried chicken and biscuits. Oh how I loved Aunt Bea's biscuits!

Otis didn't much care for them. He called them "squirrel head" biscuits. This is only known to Otis and me.

There would, of course, always be the stern lecture from Andy. To us though, it was worth it.

A night on the town, good shine, a nice warm place to sleep followed by a great meal.

Oh, how I miss Mayberry. I dream of Mayberry......

Your "dreams" need more; more analysis of the dreamtime, more Jung, more Freud, more angst, more regrets, more despair, more isolation.

I keep thinking of starting a thread called "Thinking Like Jack", then say, naw, I don't want to put my head into that space, even temporarily.
