Information on Whirlwind boats

Hi all, my first post here, so sorry if its in the wrong forum.

My wife and I just purchased our first boat. Well we're picking it up Friday. It's a 14' 1958 Whirlwind, with a 1958 Johnson 18HP outboard. It's been almost fully restored, both boat and motor. I've found quite a bit of information on the motor, but not much on the boat. Does anyone know much about the company? I know a little bit, but not to much.
