I can guess the Sunni position. They want a guaranteed minimum level of power granted to them by the constitution, like the pea-brains in Northern Ireland. One man, one vote is out for partisans of ethnicity. It would be illegal in the US which has brought freedom to Iraq, oh well.

Anyway, what do the secularists hope to gain by teaming up the Sunnis? Their fundamental position is antagonistic. Some secularists are Sunnis. They are secularists because they believe secularism is more important, in terms of governing, than Sunni-ism. What's their agenda?
