Ok, I'll admit this isn't strictly a wooden boat question but you folks are the smartest people I know and I'm hoping you'll get me pointed in the direction. I haven't been to see the boat yet but thought some research would help.
One of my doctors here at work recently bought a tupperware boat (against my advice ;) ) and he's got a weird problem. It seems that the fuel pump continues to run when the key switch is turned to the off position. I said it was a bad switch but the gauges that are wired to the same post on the switch shut off.
The excitation post on the alternator is wired to that post as well.
Anybody got any thoughts?
I found a wiring diagram for the engine, I think and possibly a glow plug switch although he says there's a "glow" postion on the key switch.
Maybe the diagram will show below.
