I think you need call waiting. Perhaps most current software will handle the situtation.

Our DSL has been flakey all week. Keeps dropping the connection. Phone people will be out tomorrow. (Thursday is a tax filing deadline. Hope it stays up until then.)

SWMBO uses callwave a lot on her dialup connection and says it works very well, I think it's about $8 a month?

She likes that she can transfer incoming calls to her cell if she wants.

Records messages, shows who called, yada yada.

What I'm looking for is the program that shows a popup on your computer when you get a call while online. You see who is calling (caller ID) and can suspend the computer link (without terminating) if you choose to answer the call.
