Thanks, Wayne. The "Hannah Sea" is a Jacques Mertens designed stitch & glue flats skiff, 16'4"x7'6". I bought the plans two years ago, started construction August of '00, and launched this past Saturday. She draws maybe 5" with the motor up. Weighs roughly 900lbs with motor and fuel. I painted her a custom blended Britesides to look like "Fighting Lady Yellow".

My wife wants a mahogany runabout. I showed her some of Ken Hankinson's designs and she wants one. I think I'll build it for her.

Casey

Beautiful work. Is she shallow V at the transom or is she flat aft. I bet she goes like a bat out of heck.

whb ~ She has a very shallow vee. Maybe 8 degrees. I can't tell how fast she runs yet. The lake was choppy and sloppy. Couldn't run too fast without giving everyone a bath.

Sweet boat Casey! Its a great feeling to get the boat wet isn't it? Kinda nice to sit and reflect on the building of it, the mistakes & frustrations, that makes you wonder if it will ever get done, and the sense of pride that one feels when it all comes together.
