What happened to Dan's post that it was 36 up in Brooksville last night? The forum did something funky. For a while Norske's post appeared under Dan's title.

The low last night here at my house in Providence was 49, but it is supposed to warm up in the next few days.

Nobody really knows that will happen when the Gulf Stream burps. We could have a sudden jump in overall temeratures, or another (hopefully mini) ice age.

All we know for sure is that the stats of the system that generates the GS is changing fairly radically and fairly fast compared to historical measurements and the geologic record.

Bruce, I've been wondering that myself. Maybe because I titled the thread, "The F word", meaning, of course, frost?
