Looking good Tom. What size strips did you use?

I used 3/8 X 3/4" because I had so much glue to get off, I checked the strips yesterday before glassing and I have sanded about a 1/16 - to an 1/8 off. I will have to be real careful with sanding on the inside.
Made a few boo boo's while glassing, but nothing that a little sanding and additional coat of glass and expoxy won't cure.

Beautiful job.
I am curious: What solvent do you use to clean the epoxy in preparation for the next coat (when applying outside the green-cure window)?
I used acetone, but I have heard some say that is not the best. I believe it evaporates so quickly, it does no harm, and I like it since it leaves no residue.

Hard to get the cloth to lay flat over such a curvacious hull, I'll bet. Got some waves in the cloth as it draped over the hull?

Jim, Yes there were some waves and wrinkels, but as we started from the keel and worked our way down smoothing all the way as we went lifting the cloth free of the hull and pulling out the air bubbles, it all seemend to lay down flat and tight. Only one real boo boo, that is on the bow, where we had a double overlap of cloth, and it had a wrinkle in it that we didn't get out, so that will have to be sanded out and re glassed, the bow and keel will end up with 4 layers, two of cloth, and one 6" tape, and one 3" tape for the final layer. It was quite enjoyable putting on the cloth, if a bit frantic at points. Needed one extra person to just mix the epoxy. My son in law and I did it together, while my SWAMBO and his took the grandkids to a parade. Peace reigned in the house for the morning.
Have a nice day. It looks like it will be very nice here in Iowa today......
