For those who want to have a spitting contest

OKAY...Time for a special thread...all those who want to have a spat with someone else...go here....
We can eliminate a lot...on the other threads...and only those who want to paerticipate can review the posts...and dig in where ever necessary or required....
I think it would be interesting to see them all on one thread....actually...would give me some perspective.

psss...we got a " humor me please " thread...why not?

There was a silly rumor, spread by a schoolyard friend, that one of the local newscasters in Cleveland, Dorothy Wertheimer, because she had a miracolor tongue, could spit a watermelon seed farther than anyone.

It, of course, proved foundless. Along with countless other rumors.

Bingo, Donn!

I couldn't for the life of me come up with it, really searched the memory banks, and said Wertheimer by default. But you, as usual, are correct. A Cleveland institution.

A TV pioneer.
Dorthy interviewed Adolf Hitler.
Bet ya didn't know that?
She was a feisty redhead too.
Didn't take any crap from anybody.

There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.

What a dame, indeed. I apoligise to her memory for having misplaced her name.

Be well, Dorothy.

It's funny, as in interesting, how local newscasting goes. I don't think the couple gals doing it here have national ambitions. Yet they are very good, and fun, as far as newscasting can be.

I'm in love with Donna Ghormly, who aside from being an anchor at the local news has also chaired the governor's bit on media. Lives out where I used to, with kids and horses and dogs.

Sweet.
