Well, I can't post a picture of it because I don't have a digital camera, and it is not actually a Christmas present, but I just sent a wooden toy truck I made off to my nephew for his second birthday...

My workshop? You mean the battered old toolbox in the back of my car? Well, I really DO have a wooden boat! And a miter saw! And a ROS! Please don't kick me off! Oh and I'm getting a router soon, promise!

I could post pictures of last year's Christmas projects but it is far too early for this year. I still have over two weeks.

Daniel on the other hand is making his own:

A Severn kayak from "The New Kayak Shop" from a couple pieces of okoume I had laying around for no better use.

Boat I made for Joe [csoh] to give to his wife. Don't say anything to her, he wants her to think he made it himself.

Here's an easy to make gift that will please any lady.

An ear ring holder.

From your local H.D. or Lowe's get an 8' length of decroative moulding to suit her tastes. Make a frame any size you want ( I got 2 from my 8'length) staple some screening to the back and cover with 1/8" X width of moulding stock strips. Clamped up with carpenters glue it holds nicely. Then cut a couple of 1/4" dowels set into a previously 45o angle wood block glued to the back. It sits nice on her dresser. ( not the one shown above) ;)

PS use staples length that won't come through 1/4" seems to just make it or not make it.

I built this little sled for my son's first xmas in Buffalo. I sure hope it snows while we're up there.
