The 24th named storm of this record breaking season has formed and "could pose a threat to Florida by next week!"

Not happy about this! Another furking Hurricane could put the icing on the cake. They still haven't picked up all the blown off limbs and such from Wilma. Lots of blue tarps have blossomed around Naples. My daughters in Miami caught hell, one had no power for two weeks. Of course Wilma was a monster storm, covered all of S. Florida. Gamma couldn't be THAT big . . . could it?

The current forecast seems to be saying that it will just be a tropical storm when it gets to Florida, which could still mean lots of rain, and trouble for things like tarped roofs, but a lot less trouble than a full-blown hurricane.

Hey, Typhoon number 23 is down in the P.I. as we speak.

Hope the hell it doesn't come up here; we've had more than our fair share of storms this year too.

Don't know how I missed this when I posted about gamma. Disregard other thread and have a bump...
