Why does Rumsfield remind me of McNamarra(sp), that other Defense Secretary?

ok, also, I just played back a 30 yr old tape of a McNamara speech, overlaid it on a Rumsfeld speech from last week, and the speech patterns were identical. Guess it doesn't matter who says "Wait'll I get my hands on that guy!" it always sounds the same

What got me was the similarity of the hand and facial expression eerie, says I.

Well, in the instance of MacNamara, there was scarcely a truthful word uttered in any of his public statements while Secretary of Defense, on the whole range of topics from the "missile gap" to the progress of the war in Vietnam.

It's like déjà vu all over again. :(

No doubt about it.... "Rummy" is a very scary guy.

The scary part is that they are both number wonks and have never been in combat. They need to spend a couple of months working as an orderly in a VA Hospital.

There are none so brave with other mens lives than those who are secure at home. Just look at the language they use, never mention the word 'killed' Our PM is a case in point, for the second time, being implicated in the Govt. that sent men to Nam. for ideological reasons on the basis of a lie. The one thing in common with most Vets is that they agree that war is a total waste.
