The next president of the United States

Politics has become a perennial part of the American landscape. There's no time to relax and suffer the last vote. As we gear up for the 2006 congressional elections, the presidential race is percolating.

Who the hell is out there? I've heard rumors that Algore is murmuring. Is that true? Of course BrunHillary wants a shot, and I don't count her machine out. She studied at the knee of one of the best politicians of the late 20th century, Billy.

Who is there on the Republican side? McCain? He's getting to be an old fart. Most of the rest of the republican leadership is wacko religious, or too obscure.

Anyone, almost, but Hillary, please god.

Condi will burn on the coattails of dubbya.
There is an assumption the dubbya will resolve the Iraq debackle prior to her jumping in.

That is laughable.

Hilary's answer to the problem is to send in more troops.

That is tragic.

I don't have much of an opinion one way or the other about Hillary Clinton but I get a little perplexed at the number of people who start frothing at the mouth whenever her name comes up. What do people find so evil about her?

That's what republicans want. It didn't happen by accident you know.

Yuu hoo, Alan? Mickey has a question for you...

Micky,

Let me get my cross, and wreath of garlic.

I suppose she's not much different than other pols, just better at it.

I don't like where she comes from; an inferiority complex wedded to an innate sense of superiority, and the guile to carry it forward at any cost is always a bad mix. You can dispute my understanding, but there it is.

it might be worthwhile to have Hillary elected...

just for the longterm damage she would do to the Democratic party

***

From Ronald Reagan---

"We need a rebirth of the American tradition of leadership at every level of government and in private life as well. The United States of America is unique in world history because it has a genius for leaders - many leaders - on many levels. But back in 1976, Mr. Carter said, "Trust me." And a lot of people did. And now, many of those people are out of work. Many have seen their savings eaten away by inflation. Many others on fixed incomes, especially the elderly, have watched helplessly as the cruel tax of inflation wasted away their purchasing power. And, today, a great many who trusted Mr. Carter wonder if we can survive the Carter policies of national defense.

"Trust me" government asks that we concentrate our hopes and dreams on one man; that we trust him to do what's best for us. But my view of government places trust not in one person or one party, but in those values that transcend persons and parties. The trust is where it belongs-in the people. The responsibility to live up to that trust is where it belongs, in their elected leaders. That kind of relationship, between the people and their elected leaders, is a special kind of compact."

Norman, That was interesting news yesterday, wasn't it?

dubbya tells us he is picking her because of her faith.
Scott Mc jumps up real quick and spins it and they put the dummy back in the box.

I love it when the dummy starts talking on his own.
